Welcome, to the Chatham Community
for Alcohol and Drug Free Youth
Chatham Community Alcohol and Drug Free Youth implements a community
wide effort to help reduce underage drinking and drug use. The primary
goals are to:
- Increase
community knowledge and awareness of youth
substance abuse problems and educate about solutions.
- Help create environments in which youth can engage
in healthy activities.
- Limit youth’s access to alcohol, tobacco, marijuana
and other drugs.
- Discuss and review community norms and procedures
around enforcement and youth substance abuse.
- Promote implementation of evidence-based prevention
practices.
- Build community prevention capacity and develop a
sustainable infrastructure to ensure an on-going process to address
youth substance abuse.
